On Sunday December 4, 2016 all NFL players have a chance to wear custom cleats to support #MyCleatsMy Cause. Players across the NFL will wear custom cleats that reflect their commitment to charitable causes during Week 13 games. Brandon LaFell will be representing his foundation the LaFell Group. The LaFell Group was founded Brandon’s 1st year in the league.

In 2010, the LaFell Group, a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit foundation, was founded as a way to give back to the community. The LaFell Group is committed to empowering, enriching, and creating educational experiences for at-risk children and their families. We are dedicated to helping develop responsible and educated citizens in our community. One of our primary focuses is on bringing awareness to the challenge many children are facing with speech delay with the LaFell’s understanding this challenge first hand.

Research show that the prevalence of speech sound disorders in young children is 8 to 9 percent. By the first grade, roughly 5 percent of children have noticeable speech disorders; the majority of these speech disorders has no known cause and sometimes are misdiagnosed. Between 6 and 8 million people in the United States have some form of language impairment and research also suggests that the first 6 months are the most crucial to a child’s development of language skills.

The LaFell Group understands that around 10 percent of children have at least one sort of speech delay and many families struggle being able to afford therapy. So in support of our mission we want to bring awareness to this issue and do our best to support children and families who are faced with this challenge everyday.

Our Mission is to create unique educational and enrichment opportunities to improve the quality of life in the community through education, fitness, and mentoring at risk children and their families. Our Vision is to be a leader in the delivery of community initiatives and programs that promote change and build healthy communities for families in need.

The LaFell Group’s mission statement is far reaching; however it allows us to assist as many children and families as possible. With this mission, the foundation reaches out to children of all backgrounds. Children need opportunities through which they can learn, grow, succeed and, pay it forward.

In support of Brandon LaFell’s cause we will select a random person who donates to the foundation between 12/4/16 and the end of January and present them with an autographed pair of these cleats. We will announce the winner the week of the Super Bowl, which could include another surprise. Please visit www.lafellgroup.org and like on the donate button to support Brandon LaFell and the LaFell Group. We really appreciate your support and are extremely excited the Brandon LaFell will be representing his foundation in Sunday’s game.
