On Thursday February 2, 2017 Brandon LaFell hosted his Athlete Community Giveback. The event was held at Market Street in the Woodlands from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Brandon LaFell and the LaFell Group partnered with Samaritans Feet, We See Abilities, Market Street and REMAX Exclusive to provide over 100 special needs children with a brand new pair of shoes, a bag of souvenirs, dinner and photos with the athletes. All who participated were also blessed with the opportunity to receive autographs and photos with the athletes as well. The event was one of the many Kick-off events for the Super Bowl being held in Houston. The players who shared this awesome day with LaFell were Danny Mc Cray, Kirston Pittman, Joe Anderson, Joseph Addai and George Iloka.
Brandon loves giving back in the community and he enjoys being a Samaritan’s Feet Ambassador. LaFell also partnered with Samaritan’s Feet and surprised Principal Nicole Haskins and her entire school, Mading Elementary in Houston, with a foot washing event and free shoes for every child in the school.
Brandon LaFell and the LaFell Group would also like to thank 21 Strong Foundation (Grant Farley and Mel Saettone) and Mercedes Benz of the Woodlands (Bob and Becca) for transporting all of the athletes to Market Street for the event and hosting them afterwards. We had a great kick off to the weekend and would love to thank Children’s Books on Wheels for giving all of the children at both events free books and all of the volunteers who helped to make these events a success.
